Is it the writer and directors of Deadgirl for coming up with such a sick, twisted tale? Or is it me for liking it so much?
The decidely post-feminist plot is as follows: Rickie and his friend JT play hookie from school and break into an abandoned mental hospital to drink beers and break shit up. In a long-locked room, they find a young women strapped naked to a gurney and covered in plastic. She should be dead, but she isn’t. Rickie wants to do the right thing and free her, but JT wants his very own sex slave.
What happens after that is worth finding out on your own. This movie is genuinely creepy, but it’s fun and smart too. It’s not torture porn. Rather, it’s filmaking without concern about what the mainstream will think.
