Word of the day:
Ambitious – having a desire to achieve a particular goal. When you see this word and are unable to find a reference to ‘success’ you need to ask yourself a few questions. Do you believe it’s the thought that counts, or if you get a present that isn’t quite what you were hoping for are you disappointed? If you asked for an iPod Touch and you received a Zune would you honestly appreciate the thought of the giver if not the gift?
If you are one of those pure souls that can truly appreciate the months or years of effort that it takes to create a film and and share it with an audience then by all means, roll the dice on a couple of ambitious picks.
I know that I’m supposed to root for the little engine that could. Here’s the difference between the engine and some films – ‘could’. As Shel Silverstein said in ‘The Little Blue Engine’ If the track is tough and the hill is rough, THINKING you can just ain’t enough!
